From that moment on, Bernd's star rose quickly and he was asked to join CarGarantie (one of Europe's largest warranty insurers) as Area Manager for Hamburg, where he was responsible for customers like Mercedes Benz, BMW, Ford, Volvo, Audi, Volkswagen, Toyota, Honda, Mazda and Opel.
His enthusiasm for sales and customer relationship did not remain unnoticed: Bernd was assigned the responsibility to implement a new joint venture between CarGarantie and Centraal Beheer.
He became CEO of CarGarantie BeNeLux, where he built a comprehensive partner network in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg and contributed significantly to making CarGarantie the market leader of extended warranties for new and used cars in Europe.
Bernd's ability to use warranty products for customer retention purposes was not limited to the automotive market. He continued his career as CEO/Partner at the Carl Rehder Group in the maritime sector and was responsible for product development, marketing and sales in the BeNeLux and Germany.
Eventually, after more than 20 years of international experience, he opted for his own entrepreneurship: he expanded his field of business to the retail sector (of electrical appliances), and - among others - was a founding member of Ultiplan as well as the co-founder and COO of and partner in Arrow.
Bernd stands for top expertise in the guarantee area and in customer relationship matters - not for nothing, people call him the 'walking guarantee encyclopedia' and that says it all.
